I'm getting some strange results when I try upping the FSB on my E6600. When I try to push the bus to 365, Vista fails to load, sometimes wont post. Ive been upping the voltages every time I restart but I figure 1.75 vcore is far too when others report 3.2 on air at stock. Ive checked off the suggestions in this sub-forums guide but I only got about 10 mhz out of those.
Attached is a screenie with Prime95 showing whats been a pretty consistent 46C so I'm concerned that temps are not the issue. I am concerned with the low RPMs of the fans, I dont mind having a jet engine next to me as long as my headphones are blaring. They are stock, but can they be turned up more? I'd like to get what ever power is left in this little monster before she calls it quits. What can I do to get over the 3.2 ghz hump?

Might seem stupid but try a LOWER voltage. Try going just above stock to see if it helps. too much voltage can hinder an OC...

1) Try dropping the multiplier down and going a bit more, that should tell you whether its the cpu or motherboard limiting you
2) You might need to slightly up the other voltages such as the northbridge, or maybe its your ram holding you back. please post all the settings in the BIOS so people can give you advice.

The mismatched ram could be causing it, try changing FSB and MCH to +0.1V and see if that helps

The mismatched ram was a problem, I got vista to boot and now orthos is erroring after 30 seconds. Back to upping the FSB and vcore.
Also, I mistyped earlier. 1.75 should read 1.375

Ok, Im running at 1.43 volts and 3.4ghz. Temps are hovering at 53 C now. Prime95 is holding stable now at 6 minutes but is this too much?
EDIT: I probably sound like a panzy but I dont have a decent cooler and $$$ is tight. I will admit, Im conservative when it comes to this stuff.
