Yep! I used SetFSB and it worked too. I am building a new system soon, as soon as I get that nice tax return...

well us "amateurs" will never learn if we don't try. prebuilt gaming computer is seriously the dumbest possible thing you can do.
a)if you use newegg or anything you can build the exact same thing for much cheaper

b)overclocking isn't too hard considering the amount of guides and wisdom this site has\

c)i hate alienware

What a douche. I love how he puts the VIIV after the quad in his system specs I think he read them from the sticker on the front.

Just liked to post that i managed to OC my Core2Quad from 2.666 to 2.810 GHz.. Dont know whether it is good or not but i need advice. Should i continue to OC it? I'm doin this on an Intel DP35DP and I am utterly surprised of my achievements. Oh.. and I've OC'd my graphics card too.

Thats a great start. Just make sure that your system is stable.
Use Prime95 or OCCT to check stability.

Hi and welcome to Overclock.net. You should start your own thread HERE as this thread is old and doesn't get much attention anymore. That being the case you are less likely to get your question answered in here.

Thanks for the quick reply i ame killer. I got its speed slightly higher now. reaching 2.9GHz. All by using setfsb. I'm quite scared to go higher thought. I only have an air cooled system. Nothing much. Oh and I was wondering, if I dont increase the voltage (which i can't due to my stupid motherboard), will my temperature rise? And how much do you think I can hit without increasing the voltage?

To Iceman,
Thanks for giving me the link. I'm new here and I've been looking for that "New Thread" button for hours.

Cheers,
Daniel
