And how much do you think I can hit without increasing the voltage?

To Iceman,
Thanks for giving me the link. I'm new here and I've been looking for that "New Thread" button for hours.

Download CoreTemp and check. You should stay under 71C according to Intel.

But just to be safe stay under 65.

Good Luck!

Default My PC is in trouble

Hi again

I downloaded speedfan and checked my temperatures and i dont like what i saw. I do not know how to post an actual image up but i'm putting it as an attachment. I'm pretty scared right now. And in my BIOS, my MCH and ICH temperature are around 80 degrees Celcius.. not good...right?

Good news is I've managed to clock my Q6700 up to 3.0001 GHz just by using SetFSB.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hello i have sucessfully overcloiked both my graphics card and cpu on my dell dimension 9200. For the cpu i used clockgen and achieved 2.7 stable, ran prime 95 for 6 hours and passed. For my graphics card i used rivatuner (overcloks almost ANY graphics card) and turned my fan all the way up.

cheers

I have a question, how did you save your overclock with setfsb?? or do you simply have to re-do it each time??

Hi there!
I have sucesfuly OCed my HP a6240.pt from 2.20Ghz to 2.30Ghz (so far i only tried until this speed) using SetFSB. Temp are within the normal (25șC), but i am yet to test it with orthos (tomorrow i will do it).
I will post if i can get a higher speed, and the temps.

Vostro 200? The minitower? It's got 3 or 4 fans in it that sound like turbine engines, so it actually might be overclocked allready.

You'll definitely have your warranty voided if the bios isn't locked to do so.
