I used SetFSB to overclock my old Q6600 on an intel DG33tl to 3.2Ghz from stock... I just had to select the "CV183APAG" PLL and lo, I was done.... Anything higher and it would crash (I suspect lack of vcore).

Hahaha this is funny. The first lines in this topic is you cannot overclock a retail pc. But people still ask if they can anyways lol. I'm not even gonna ask cause i've got a dell but i don't do pc gaming really since i'm a big 360 player.

so i'd just realize i pick the wrong mobo. intel dg31pr. ^^ i never thought im into overclocking thing. thnks to overclock.net reallyy helps me a lot using setFSB is i was able to set mine to 3.0ghz. i forgot the link about issues on finding the PLL code of intel mobo. There is a crystal in the mobo that is marked with 3.14Mhz on it then just beside it was a chip where the PLL is written. Luckily there is a match in the setFSB PLL text list.

Just for the record, I oc'd my wolfdale e8200 from 2.66G to 3.4G using setfsb. However, the settings are lost when I Unplug the main power cable from the wall socket or switch off the ups. Anything beyond 3.4 crashes maybe because of the voltage issue which of course leads to a dead end.

I would suggest an update stating that certain computers now have unlocked motherboard/BIOS options, such as the Dell XPS series above 600.
