I am getting a new Power Supply and Motherboard so I can OC, And to the person that said most people start out with OEM PC's you are totaly right. I bet most of the people with rigs started out with mom and dads celeron, got angry at how slow it is, then saved and built your own.
pretty much I had a dell, upgraded it untill I couldnt anymore, got angry that people had way better computers and were playing games at max settings. That I borrowed money from my dad (working it off right know) and built my own.

hi guys...(first, sorry about my poor english.) I'm trying to overclock my HP dc7600. It comes with an i945G motherboard. The BIOS have no oc' options, but systool and some other have ) The problem is that i can only change the FSB when i change the multipiler from 15 to 14. Then I can change the FSB from 200 to only 214, so that EVEREST shows me a 7% overclock, but the CPU clock is still at 3000MHz.

i donīt know about dell ibm and stuff but the thing is YES you can oc intel motherboards, by software no by hardware

using clockgen and finding the right pll is all about it

easy doesnīt mean better, but this mobos are better than many, i donīt get why everyone on overclock.net is so afraid of intel mobos

Shadbee, welcome to the forums!

We're all more than happy to help your overclock, but you would get much more assistance if you created your own thread in the Intel General section. Thanks, and happy overclocking!

Exactly.

At my signature you will see how I oc-ed my P D805 and D865GSA with CPUCool, with normal fan. My temps are 50-60c, when not overclocked 47-56c.

So now when it's so hot I run it on 3.33, till I get better fan.

Also made test with Prime95 - stable for 7 hours.

Greetz.

Default Help w/OC my MSI 865P Neo, p4 2.6

Dear Mr. NoAffinity,

Your post on overclocking is the best I've seen anywhere. I have looked all over the world, but usually they discuss it as if you're OC experienced.

Can you help me? I think I had been going too far too fast. Changing the CPU FSB from 200 to 220 and the Vcore from default 1.525 to 1.6. It would not reboot, so for years I've left it on default. I followed your instructions and just rebooted at 205.

When do i change the vcore?
How can I tell that my mhz has increased?
