Default ASUS P5WD2 Premium WiFi-TV Edition

This is an erritating process. I am trying to build a new computer with a Pentium D 920, and would like to have a ASUS P5WD2 Premium WiFi-TV Edition, the bundle that comes with the Asus WiFi-TV video card. The problem is, I can't find it anywhere online. I've searched everywhere with Froogle, and nothing. Anyone know where I could find this mobo combo?

For starters, that MoBo was very expensive ($275) and probably it wasn't selling and maybe that's why ASUS no longer sells it.

Although I'm not 100% sure, I think when ASUS release the P5WD2-Premium, a lot of people thought the the MoBo would come withe the WiFiTV card and I found a few threads on them being upset because there wasn't said anything about a Premium non-WiFiTV, and so they contacted ASUS and ASUS replied that they could buy the WiFiTV card for $75, so maybe you could still be able to see if you can get that WiFiTV card, just call ASUS and see what they say.

Thanks for the notice. I also contacted a few people about that online, and turns out that these two items are sold separately. I would have to purchase the mobo for $270 and the PCI card for $75. It makes sense now. Thanks.

The P5WD2-Premium with WiFiTV was $270 as a whole package but the P5WD2-Premium is only $199 now, although there are rummors that the P5WD2-E Premium 975X will support Conroe, I'd say buy that one over the 955X chipset instead.

The E-Premium (975 chipset, might support Conroe with a BIOS update) goes for $220 on newegg.com, the Premium (955 chipset, no way it will support Conroe) is about $196 on newegg.com.

Both are great OCers though.

Intel released that post December 975X motherboards are Conroe compatable. That doesn't really mean anything, but sources say that Conroe does work with the 975X (better than 965G).

The Conroe is the desktop version of Intel's new architecture, Core. Core brings the highlights of Memron and Netburst together. It is essentially the best parts of a Centrino and a PIII. Clock speeds go from 1.6Ghz-2.66Ghz (EX version 3.33Ghz). These processors are extremely powerful, and are far more efficient that current Intel processors. It is definately something you want to be able to upgrade to. (release around 6-6-06)

I had to special order my two P5AD2-E Premium mainboards with built in Wireless as there were (and are) no local stores that carried them in stock.

I would say that you might well have to do the same thing as these special editions are not at all easy to come by.
