Default Annoying Problems

On my rig, i have two annoying problems (so far)\

1. my computer (duno which part...hard to tell) beeps periodically....REALLY annoying...and a bit scary too

2. WHen i shut down my computer, i cant turn it back on immediately, i have to wait like 10min before i can turn it back on....if i turn it back on immediately, i get no beeps whatsoever but no screen as well...

Sounds to me that a component is overheating. Maybe your PSU fan is not working, or not working as good as it should. Or something else not on the mobo directly is overheating. For the whole 10 minute wait thing, that's what makes me point at the PSU first.

overheating....thats what i suspect too...i suspect the northbridge 'cause its passive cooled....but then when its cooled, it sometimes still wont boot.

Besides, i have a PCPnP 510W PSU with a working fan (from Collin/OC-Newbie ), so it should be working...

Does it run fine when it is on? Can you run Prime95 for a decent period of time with no errors, and what about memtest? It still could be a defective part in the PSU that overheats even though the fans are working. Try to figure out what is making it beep too, is it a speaker/buzzer on the motherboard that beeps, or is it a windows beep? The part about not being able to turn it back on quickly makes it sound like you have a defective PSU.

Well, I don't know what Fatal05 is talking about but he seems pretty sure the videocard is causing it, try the card in a different system.
