I have a Asus P5nd2-sli mother board , Just installed a new mother board, ram, power supply and processor.
__________________I get some power the green light on the mother board comes on, the keyboard and the infa red light on the mouse. I have a ASPIRE Chameleon ATX-AS550W-BL ATX12V v2.03 550W Power Supply 115/230 V cUL, FCC, CSA, CB, TUV, CE, NEMCO, SEMCO, DEMCO, TC - Power supply, I noticed that the Motherboard needs a 6pin EATX12v, however my power only has a 8 pin one. Could this be the reason it wont power up? Please advise before I go and return it nd pick up another one -- If i need another one any recomendations that best buy would ahve?? yup could be, personally i have not used any motherboards like that but from what i have heard theres a adapter for that, also a problem i have had before is that the switch hasn't been put in properly, just check that because you can just never know, took me 4 hours to find it. =P

I looked at your manual at the ASUS site and it shows a standard 24 pin EATXPWR, a 4pin ATX12v, and a 4pin EZ_PLUG (used when running 2 video cards)
__________________The main 24 pin should be on the right side, below the floppy, and next to the sec IDE bus. The 4pin ATX12V should be on the top left, just the right of the mouse and keyboard external connectors, and the EZ_Plug is on the right side near the middle of the board, right above the first PCIe slot and under the SATA RAID connector. I don't see any 6pin connectors. Either way, you will likely need an adapter to go from 8pin to 4pin, or a new PSU. I know some boards like mine have an 8pin connector on the motherboard so you can use the 8pin or a 4pin, which is nice. 4-pin to 8-pin adapter - $4.95 I am usually leery of adapters on my power connectors, but at least it's not the main power, and it is a lot cheaper than buying a whole new PSU.
