Question ASUS P4P800SE Socket 478 Intel 865PE ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

ont his MoBo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...d%20-%20Retail

i see that the slots for ram are black and blue, right next to it is wat looks to my like a spot for 2 psus, 1 in a black psu connector(i think) and the other is blue9 i think its for psu)


am i right or wrong?

also, if it is, do i need 2 psu's to run it????

Those are IDE connectors for hard drives and cd/dvd drives. The white plug is for the psu.

1 of those slots is the power connector, the other is the IDE hard drive connectors, and the blue is the floppy drive connector. You only need one PSU...lol

The big beige one is for the PSU, the black and blue ones are for IDE and floppy connections, you are right about the RAM though. You only need 1 PSU to run it, but make sure it has a 12V (P4) 4-pin connector that goes into the little beige port to top-left of the CPU slot in that picture. Most Modern PSU's have these connections.

u see, im retarted, lol, i forgot all about the IDE and floppy connections

and if i had the dual support, i would have to stick 1st 2 from same pack into 2 blues, then other 2 into black ? or stick it in random, it doesnt matter?

Correct. Great board btw.. Also, like many other boards, the RAM slots are color coded to run dual channel. Rams sticks in either the blue or the black slots will run dual channel (obviously if the sticks are identical in size and latenty, etc)
