Sony's are outrageously overpriced. Sure they have a nice screen. Why settle for a slow $1500 computer, when you can buy a much faster Acer or Asus machine for alot cheaper.

Honestly though, I would highly reccommend staying away from Sony notebooks. Not only because they are extremely overpriced but they are designed so that you cannot service them yourself. I attempted to replace a dead HDD on one of my friends notebook and it literally took 2 hours of painstaking labor to remove the harddrive. Instead of being able to access the harddrive from the bottom of the notebook like on normal laptops, you have to attack it from above and remove the keyboard. It was a nightmare.

meh why sacrifice performance and price for weight and slim dimensions? It probably costs Sony $250 to produce a $1500 laptop. XD The only good thing Sony makes is pda's (Clie series, not the psp :P ).
