Question How do you boot a CD drive first before HD

What button do you press on a laptop (Dell e1405) to have the CD drive boot first, before the hard drive

F12 should be your boot menu, it is on my E1705.

Yep, F12 is the boot menu for Dells. Laptop manufacturers haven't decided on a standard key yet, so they're all different between each of them.

You want to press F12, and then select the cd rom from the boot list.
