Default Battery manager: HP Pavillon DV2130CA

I have a HP Pavillon DV2130CA (dv2000 series).
This thing heats up hotter than texas on the miday (80* load, will have to underclock)

I was looking on HP's website and they have no battery manager programs like acer or toshiba. I tried looking a third party software but they dont work that well with it. Anyone ran through this problem or know of a universal program i can use for the battery?

Lappy chips can take the heat, that 80C load is normal. Most will load over that.

Also, what "manager" are you referring to? Adjust the power options in xp/vista. Theres not much else you can do.

Are you looking for a battery monitor?

i have an hp dv9207us and you can adjust performance settings, which lowers the clock speed and such of the cpu, it keeps things cooler and extends battery life... its in the windows mobility center if you click on your battery icon...
