Default MXM Should I Care?

I am looking to get a new laptop. I have one now I just use for writing, web browsing ect. In looking for a new one I am wondering if I should get one that supports MXM 1-3 not sure which as I am not familiar with the differences. So is this something that I should look for? I was told that the Asus C90 is basically the end all be all of notebooks. I am very comfortable with putting my own together but if MXM is just one of those things that no one supports I would rather just get a really nice one from the start and not worry about upgradeability. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

MXM has very little support from manufacturers - most won't even mention that the unit HAS an MXM slot - and even less support from graphics card manufacturers. The only way right now to get an MXM upgrade is through this place: http://www.mxm-upgrade.com/store.html

You'd be better off just getting a strong graphics card from the get-go.
