I was just now updating my Wireless Notebook adapter via Microsoft Update on my old COmpaq Armada 1750, when i got a BSOD. It did restart after BSOD, but it didn't start up anymore.
It just stays there with a black screen. It doesn't load or do anything, just fan spins and nothing happens

Try pulling the battery from the laptop to reset the bios...that would be the easiest solution. It's probably located under your keyboard.
