Default Dell XPS Thread

Hi everyone,
I just thought would set up an official Dell XPS thread for us to talk about our models. I have a Dell XPS M1710 modified with a Seagate 7200 RPM HDD, 4GB OCZ RAM, but have stuck with the original GPU (7900GTX 512MB GDDR3)
Also, I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the light FX winamp plugin for the XPS working, I've tried but had no luck :-((
If you have any XPS problems please ask me, as I have dis-assembled many different models (I am typing at the moment on a faulty M1710 I got off eBay for 220 pounds which I repaired for 50 pounds).

Good to see some other XPS owners. I used to have an XPS 140, quite liked it.
By the way, I have a faulty graphics card from my XPS on eBay. I started getting Grey screens e.t.c and decided to replace it. It's a high end model, don't know if any of you guys would be interested in it - might be an easy fix. If you are just type GeForce Go 7900GTX into eBay.

I have an XPS M1530. I would never touch a prebuilt desktop system, but I wanted a fast, portable laptop for school and I thought it made the kind of compromise I was looking for. I thought the price was reasonable as well. Never really thought I would own an XPS, but I am quite happy with it.
