I'm definitely going to purchase the lenovo y510. Specs as follows
Core 2 Duo 5750 (2.0GHz, 2MB cache, 667MHz FSB) 2GB PC2-5300 250GB HDD Intel X3100 I do have a couple of questions though if any knows. Can i expect to be able to play source engine games at playable settings on this laptop? I'm talking no eye candy and lower resolutions, just able to play, gotta have half life 2 and CS:S on the go. I've read that there are drivers out for the X3100 chipset that enable hardware based T&L improving game performance by a noticeable bit, does anyone have first hand experience as to whether it's worth it or not?

you will be able to play CSS fine. its very CPU dependent compared to more modern games.
__________________about the 'other' drivers I would just try them out. There are some that improve performance a little bit, but not significantly afaik.
