Default How do you remove a keyboard form a laptop?

Ok its a dell inspiron E1705 and a Inpsiron 1521 they both have the keyboard attached to a flat, wide cord. How Do i remove that from the motherboard im affraid to pull hard and break it. Any one ever done this before and can help?

If you look at where the base of the ribbon is attached to the motherboard there should be a smaller off-colored piece of plastic. It is actually a latch of sorts. Pull up on both sides, usually with a bit of force, and you'll be remove the keyboard and ribbon from the motherboard.

I don't have a laptop in front of me otherwise I could give you a visual example.
