Default Best company to use to build a custom laptop?

Hi all,

I am fairly new to this forum, and I hope some folks can point me in the right direction.

What might be the best company to use to custom build a laptop?

In short, I am looking to build a thin and light aptop 4-4.5 lbs. with the latest technology: Intel 45nm T9300 processor, PM965 Express Chipset, a Blu-ray disc drive, a 64 GB SATA II solid state drive, etc.

Unfortunately, the big companies like Dell, HP, etc. aren't giving me all the options that I'd like.

What are my options for custom building?

I read that SSD can stop working after 6 years or something because the transferring of files burns in the circuits a little, and over time it might screw everything up.

i've seen people on this forum buy a laptop with a solid screen and case with the lowest possible configuration and then ditch/sell the parts they didn't want, buying the better parts online

you just have to make sure you have a newer MOBO that can handle the latest 45nm quads
