I always use this program called SIW to find max supported memory.
__________________http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html Download the one called SIW Standalone, best thing is that it doesn't need to install. Scroll down to Memory on the left side and it will have a listing for Maximum Capacity. EDIT: On second thought, this thing says 4GB for my DS3L when it should be 8GB so who knows if this thing is accurate or not.

Your laptop most likely supports 2x2GB DDR2-667

Most laptops only have two slots for dimms. If you aren't satisfied with what CPU-z reports, load speed fan or everest or any other monitoring software to verify. Or, you could just turn of the laptop, turn it over, and remove the panel covering the memory to see for yourself. Many laptop manufacturers claim that the laptop support no more than 4gb of memory, but I don't know for sure on your particular laptop how much memory is supported, due in part to not knowing your model number.
So, it looks like you've only got one dimm slot filled at the moment, so you have room for one more stick, or a new pair of sticks.
