Default Help needed to buy a laptop

Hello, i am planning to buy a laptop. I will be primarily using it for Photoshop and Maya and some gaming. I am will to spend between 2000 - 2500 US$ on it. I saw a couple of laptops in that range from Alienware. Please suggest me a few with links if possible. Thanks.

That thing has almost everything i was looking for except the blu ray rom. But still its an amazing deal. I have not see any of my friends use a gateway laptop. How is the service and reliability ? Any more suggestions? Is Alien ware not worth the money? Or a Dell XPS? Please help me Out. Thanks.

Alienware's are good products it seems for most of the people on these forums. But my friend has had to RMA his twice for a motherboard fault.

I would personally go for the Gateway, not too sure of their build quality/support anymore because they are now owned by Acer, but I would get it. Alienware seems very overpriced at the moment. You could also check out Dell's laptops, basically everything BUT their XPS m1730 is what I would suggest. Good luck!
