If they recieved payment they cannot deny services like refunding you.
This is incorrect. Freedom is speech protects you from being forced to say or not to say something. A company has every right not to do business with you if they don't like what you have said, they cannot force you to say what they like.

I am sure the OP agreed to a set of Terms and Conditions when he made the purchase and I am willing to bet this agreement allows the company to void a sale (and return the money) for any reason.

I also would like to know the company is.

So I would know not to order from them.

Default Wow....

I do know that there is no law agaisnt expressing your likes or dislikes, and I do know, that the company you are dealing with is not trustworthy!!
Consider all this a lesson well learned, a company that has guided its business sense, on what persons "say" about them, is not a well founded.

Most importantly, do you trust them to fix, possible malfunctions, on said Laptop?
Look for something better, my friend.

I don't understand why you didn't cancel the order and demand a refund when the song and dance began; are there no other etailers with the same laptop at same or similar price ? It's business and you don't play games, it's your money and their loss as there are businesses who do well because they respect their customer and have earned their place.

But in his situation he was not forced to say anything. He was denied service a buyer is required by law. If I go to the GAP and buy my mom a shirt but tell the clerk the shirt I'm buying is ugly they can't take it from me and not return me my money, and they can't say they didn't like what I said so they stole $30 from me.

If you don't get your money back then they stole from you!!!

In Australian Law, it depends on what the terms were. Some cases say the contract is complete when the good exchange hands which in this case would be on delivery. Others suggest it is when you press the "Buy Now" button.

I'm not gonna name the store.

I wrote them an email telling them how much I need the laptop and apologizing in case they took the review the wrong way.

They agreed to ship the laptop.

It's over ;P
