Default 15.4 & 1280x800

Hey,

I'm going to buy one of the prebuilt HP Pavilion dv5t models, the configuration is:

T9400
4GB DDR2
Geforce 9600M GT
320GB
Blueray ROM

It's clear that the notebook is somehow expensive, I'm worried about the screen, although it's a 15.4 WXGA+ "BrightView Infinity" but the resolution is 1280x800, the same that I had on my previous notebook which was 13.3.

Should I worry about that or it's something normal?

My 15.4" Dell has a 1440x900 and I find it far superior to my GF's whose is 1280x800 at the same screen size.

It's decent enough, and I'm sure you can always "upgrade" your screen via eBay if desired.

How much is it, and why a blu ray drive with such a low res?

i agree about the blu-ray being overkill, but then again, with a good video out, you could use it as a bluray player on an hdtv

that res is fine for everyday use, unless you're coming down from a 24" monitor or something, then it would get hard to get used to

I'm gonna use it for web surfing and watching blueray movies on a Full HD LCD TV with HDMI, so it's normal.

beatrix, where do you live if I may ask? (Country)

And about the laptop, wasn't there an option choosing if you want a different screen with higher resolution when configuring?
