Default Overclocking HP dv5t

Hi,

I got my new laptop, I talked about it here:
http://www.overclock.net/laptops-not...-1280x800.html

The processor is a T9400 (2.53 GHz), how much overclocking capacity does it have? Can it reach 3.0 GHz without external cooler?

Thanks

I think you will find that overclocking will be severely limited by the BIOS.

Yep, no overclocking can be done (through the BIOS). There may be some software that "might" support it.....but most people here can agree that is not a good way to OC.

It's bad that I can't do it through the BIOS.

Do you recommend a software? I'm not gonna do this for permanent use, just to do it & learn something new about overclocking!

for starters overclocking laptops isn't such a great idea in terms of heat and power usage...

yeah, there's no way im overclocking my vostro...1.8ghz is plenty for CSS

if you really want to though, I would suggest a cooling pad for your laptop and to really monitor your temperatures.
