This is precisely why I got my Eee PC 1000H. 160 GBs of storage, baby!

Dang, thats a sweet deal on the Dell Mini 9! I wish I'd known about this deal on ebay sooner.

Hows the accuracy on the keyboard when you're typing?

Hey Mike, nice lappy, I was thinking of getting one to have around the house.

About the windows install, the lappy in my sig has no CD/DVD (died a while ago) and I still install windows like this:
*copy the CD (copy/paste) on an USB stick
*copy the files from the stick to the Mini's HDD
*while in the windows you already have installed, doubleclick the setup.exe file from the install kit you just copied
*make sure you select in the advanced options for it to "copy all the installation files" and "allow to choose drive letter in windows setup".

In about 30mn you should have a fresh Win install with no extra charge. Those USB CD drives are so expensive it kinda beats the purpose of buying a nettop, and they're not really necessary.

*EDIT: BTW, isn't the SSD connected on an IDE interface? I bought my current 80GB IDE 2.5" HDD used for 35$ (the old one died also), you could make a reak cheap upgrade if compatible.

Um... Wrong.

At the very minimum, you'll need an EFI boot loader that emulates the TPM, SSE3 instructions, and the NX bit microprocessor and an external usb DVD drive.

Bumping an old thread, but ah well.

Looking to replace my current laptop soon ( Inspiron 6400) due to it's bulk and how much I am working on the go these days. How does the mini handle a task like remote desktop? That would be the main thing I use it for.
