hey guys, i'm trying to fix my dad's old Dell laptop, and having some troubles here. He bought new ram for it a while ago and is still having BSOD errors. Mainly the errors occur during windows installation, and are page fault errors, and some serenum.sys errors. Any ideas on what to do. I've swapped memory slots. Any ideas, or is a lost cause.

It's probably the memory that you are using that is corrupt.

Does sound like memory but be aware the 5150 suffer from heat related MoBo failure so if the memory does check out consider?
