Default Sager NP8662

Ok, so I just bought a sager np8662. Anyone here have one? I am really excited about this purchase, and anxious to see if anyone has any experience with them.

The price and size draw me to it. Heck of a notebook for only $1600. Plus brushed aluminum is just sexy.

I will be doing a full review on it once it's in my possession.
I also plan on getting a ssd for it relatively soon after purchase.

Specs:
15.4" wsxga+
Intel p9600 2.66ghz 6mb l2
gtx260m
4gb ddr3 1066
320gb 7200rmp 16mb cache

Yep, my sig rig, QX9300 getting here Friday. Can't go wrong with GTX280m + QX9300, have to test how the laptop handles all that thermally though... It's a great laptop and you better start overclocking your GTX260m like crazy. I hold all 3DMark records on this laptop, previously with a 9800m GT, now with a GTX280m, can't wait for the QX9300 to bring me above 13k, if you have any questions, feel free to PM me and I also suggest that you join www.notebookreview.com ; that's where all the notebook gurus are.
You might want to follow these threads so you see the full potential of this laptop.

Congratulations on your purchase by the way, mid-end desktop gaming performance in a 15.4" chassis, kills most 17" laptops too!

I'm glad to see it will handle both those upgrades, but I'm pretty sure this will satisfy my basic needs. (tf2 and homework)

I've seen some of the es qx9300's on ebay for cheap and they look mighty tempting. I'm sure I'll get one at some point.

This is gonna be a substantial downgrade from my desktop, but It will still be an awesome computer, so im still pumped.

Got any good pics of yours?

I don't have a lot of pictures, here are two. It's a downgrade from a desktop, but you'll also take pride knowing that your laptop kills all the other laptops around you at Starbucks, that if someone comes and brag about his Mac Book you can shoot up Crysis maxed out and laugh at his face, and also that your laptop is more powerful than most desktops that "regular" people have lol.

Haha, yeah, I bought it mainly because It's a good looking notebook with a decent size, and great hardware that can game, and it doesn't look god awful like most "gaming laptops"

Exactly, it looks professional and stylish at the same time, I'm not a fan of blaze orange either! It's incredible all the performance packed in this 15.4", usually you can't find such performance in anything smaller than 17" notebooks.

So is your model a sager? Or did you buy a clevo barebones somewhere?

I notice that they did a revision on the touchpad scroll area, any idea which one is being used now?

I plan on using a falcon ocz ssd for the hard drive on this, what kinda boot times are you getting with yours?

It is a Sager! Welcome to the wonderful world of performance notebooks. Xotic or PNB are the best.
