I am assuming that the Best Buy model is the worst to have considering that on the G51 and the G71s the Best Buy models are $999 and $1299 on the website respectively and on other sites the non-Best Buy models run around $1500 AND $1900 respectively. I assume that the Best Buy models use inferior components to hold down on cost. I purchased mine from TigerDirect as a refurb for $749. I am very pleased. Except I can not tell which model I have and I found out that I can not register it with Asus because it is a refurb. They told me that I had a90 day warranty but that I was not able to register it. Any help with how to determine would be great!
ya man, thats the model i have too, its the best buy model actually, if it has the yellow lightning on top its the x5 and if it has blue lightning then its x1 or a1 i think... i hope that helps...

Let's get this club formed!

I've got an Asus G50V-A2 that should be RMA'd back to me within a few days, but i love that laptop! I've an Intel X25 SSD with Windows 7 and it's snappy as all hell.

Let's get a database of the latest drivers for all variants of G50's on here to make sure we're all up to date.
