thats more than enough for what you need.

I use a SONY 1.8ghz Intel Dual core with 2gb ram and 120gb HDD, crappy built in graphics but who cares, I only use it for when I am lazy at home, or for school and trips.

Ok, I was just wondering about the cpu though. How is it? Im hearing mixed reviews on it.

Also, would it be eligible for the free windows 7 upgrade?

The CPU is fine. AMD's run hotter than Intel's and less performance clock for clock. But they are fine I have a TL-52 still works fine after 3 years never had any problems with.

Edit: Just a guess you are not eligible for upgrade. Assume at that price original Windows on it and that is not eligible. But just a guess.
