Default Dell Latitude D400 running Windows 7

Decided to try and install Windows 7 on my Dell Latitude D400 today (Mainly out of boredom).
Didn't have much hope as Vista wouldn't due to lack of memory but...

Installed fine except VGA and Wifi Drivers, but managed to get these installed after about an hour of googling and now....

I HAVE A BORN AGAIN LOVE FOR MY OLD LAPPY!!!

It runs as fast as XP did (doesn't have aero though) and networking to my desktop was the easiest thing ever. My laptop is from 2003 and here is the specs:

Specifications:
Intel Pentium M 1.7 GHz processor
40 Gig Hard Drive
512 Megs of RAM
12.1" LCD Screen
Built-in wireless card (Wi-Fi)
Internet ready
2xUSB port
AC Adaptor & Working Battery
Ethernet port, VGA port, Com port, Telephone modem, head phone, microphone jack

Im very impressed and feel like I have a new lappy now and deffo worth trying for anyone who thinks their old laptop is past it!!!

What did you do for all the other drivers or were drivers in Windows 7 etc?

I'd like to try this on my d400 too.

It was missing the drivers for the graphics card but I just inserted the dell driver cd that came with the laptop, pointed to it and it installed them no problem.

Definately worth doing. Im loving it now especially as my desktop is out of action at the mo!

I got everything working but the Video.

For video, I have 1024x768 but it only runs in 256 color mode.

What did you do for the video? I found this one page where this guy made driver with some drivermax stuff but the drivers they made dont work on my D400.

Can you help me out?
