I need to find a Netbook without a webcam for my mother, she works a government job and cannot have anything with a camera in her workplace. $300 Max in price please, new and boxed, online or Best Buy preferred.

I feel your pain. I had to go to a government building that did not allow cameras. I had a hard time and little selection for a phone. I also have worked at many secure facilities, Rockwell comes to mind. I had to deliver some supplies to an area. It was behind or in what could best be described as 3 bank vaults each one within the other.

I don't know of any and sadly depending on the level of security disabling even with a drill might not cut it.

Yes this is what i was just about to say. Couldn't you pop off the front bezel remove the camera, bondo (or some other epoxy) the hole sand/shape smooth and spray paint the bezel to a similar color as original?

I really dont think there are ANY netbooks that don't have webcams

You can get an EEE PC 2G Surf or 4G Surf. They are pretty small with only 7" screens, but those are the only ones I know without webcams.

Found one, Dell sells an Inspiron mini 9, with 512MB of ram, 8GB SSD which I will upgrade to 1GB for $15, and I plan to get a Dell 10v with a 120GB HDD and then trade that to my mom for the 8GB SSD since she will be using it for work therefor needing more space, where as me, I won't.

NONONO!! DO NOT GET A MIN 10V. I HAD ONE. IT HAS NO HEATSINK OR FAN AND OVERHEATS. JUST PAY A LITTLE MORE FOR ONE THAT LASTS. Get a HP Mini 210 HD or something.
