Hey guys,
__________________I've owned a Qosmio F55 since a few months ago, and I decided to put Windows 7 on it to bask in its glory ![]() Anyways, I've been having issues with my wifi chip for a little bit now, and I'm trying to get it repaired since it's still under warranty. The problem is, the people that work on the computer won't touch it if Windows 7 is on it. So, I've been trying to get windows vista back onto it. Problem is, I never created a recovery CD since I was never prompted to and didn't know there was that option, and the HDD recovery boot won't work either (press 0 at boot). The partition with the HDD recovery stuff is still intact, but it just won't boot. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

As said call Toshiba and get a recovery or keep working on W7? You should be able to get W7 working.

As the other posters have said, you need the recovery discs. Normally, if Windows Vista was on there, you'd press F8 at boot, and goto the "Repair My Computer" option. In the list that appeared would be the option to recover your computer, but unfortunately it needs the Vista bootloader to do this. (I only found this out when my Netbook did the same thing. Luckily I took a ghost of the drive) The only option open to you at the moment is to ring Toshiba and order the recovery discs. Should cost you about $40-$50. We sell Toshiba at work, and the number of people who don't make the recovery discs is alarming.
