Default My New Laptop :D [what do you think?]

Hey guys i have just ordered my new laptop and was wandering what you though. i personally am quite pleased with it but would be nice to hear what you think good or bad of course. i think you will struggle to get a better laptop for this price but here it is...

Dell Studio 15

CPU:Intel® Core™ i7-720QM Mobile Processor (1.6GHz, turbo up to 2.8GHz, 6MB L3 Cache)

RAM:4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048]

VIDEO CARD: 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HP 4570

HARD DRIVE: 500GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive

LCD: 15.6in Widescreen Full High Definition (1920 x 1080) WLED with TrueLife

OS: Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 (64 BIT) - English

KEYBOARD:Internal UK/Irish Qwerty Backlit Keyboard

including delivery and VAT this cost £845.55

personally the i7 and ddr3 sealed the deal for me but what do you guys think?

Thats a great laptop. But I will say, and this is my personal opinion, that 1920x1080 wasn't the best choice. I personally think that 1366x768 is better choice for laptops especially for gaming because of higher FPS.

Enjoy your new laptop!

I disagree with above on resolution.

Yea it is great a bad ass CPU for sure. I like.

DD3 means squat. But if you like so be it. It really means jack? No better than DDR2 on a notebook.

It's a nice laptop. There's nothing wrong with the res although you may have to turn it down if you game. I would probably have gone with the XPS 16 i7 deal because the 4670 is a better GPU. As for the DDR3 I don't think you'll be seeing any i7 laptops with the older DDR2 availible, you'll only have the option to choose how much.

I like it. I'm curious as to what sort of battery life you get. I use a program called Battery Bar. I like it a LOT better than Windows' power monitor.

i will be sure to let you guys know what the battery is like on it i did upgrade to the 9-cell 85 WHr Lithium Ion battery which hopefully should last a bit longer than the standard one.

also seems like an interesting app what does it actually do?

cheers guys

Just sits by your system tray. It can show time left or percentage left and has lots of info on your battery. Just much more full features than the built in one by windows. And it learns as you use it more so it is very accurate.
