Default any idea what kind of games this could handle?

hi there, i was just wandering how you guys think my new laptop would handle some of the new games, it hasnt arrived yet and i dont expect too much game wise but how to you think it would run some of the newer games?

you should be able to handle any game out there right now with no problem what soever. you could update your GPU to get better FPS, but I don't see any problem with your system not being able to at least run any game smoothly.

You'll be able to play most modern games at medium or low settings with good frame rates if you turn down the resolution.

And AA. Not much of a gaming card. 64bit bus. 80 SP's. My 3650m 128bit bus 120 SP's. Mine games OK yours should game OK but Crysis low at 12 fps avg? CPU rocks but for most games matters little.

If you are getting low FPS just find some tweak guids online I play tf2 with 40-90 FPS on my old ATI HD2300 with some tweaks and etc if need help shoot me a PM.

RivaTuner FTW. Should be fine for older games like Cod4, all source games, and some other games. Not great for crysis, it's a bus hog...

Generally, you can't upgrade laptop GPU's.

But yeah, you should be able to run most games at medium settings.

I've got a dell xps m1710, which is admittedly not that similar, but it can run every game out there, even GTA IV, although you do have to turn down the settings sometimes All source games can run maxed at 1920x1200 as well
