Default Laptop Under $500

Sorry guys, no leniency on price with this one. Parents just said that since i'm a senior in high school, they're going to combine my birthday/graduation/christmas gift and get me a laptop. The deal is it has to be under $500. Here's what i'd like:

The ability to play left 4 dead
A screen that's less than 15.6", (sweet spot being 14.1")
That's really all I want to be able to do right there. Everything else sort of comes standard.

I may end up just taking the $500 and doing something else with it, but then that may seem kind of ungrateful.

Edit: Okay, so here's the deal now, i'm just simply looking for a laptop with the best graphics card under 500. This doesn't have to be from newegg, because they don't have the best deals always. Just has to stay under 500.

L4D?

I'd go used/refurbed. Also, the smaller the size, the more expensive it gets (usually) to put a gaming card in there. I'd forget 14.1". 15.6"+ is probably the only realistic hope.

Let me take a look around. Can you throw any of your own money in?

Reports say that the HD 3200 *CAN* run L4D at low resolution and low settings.

I'd seriously look into used laptops. I can't imagine you'll find anything over an HD 3200 or 8200M without finding some sort of incredible sale.

If you are going to be going away or traveling a lot, I would consider selling your rig, combining the cash you get from that (easily a grand from Craigslist or eBay, more with the screen) and getting a very solid gaming laptop.

I bought the laptop in my sig for ~$750 (great deal) and while I still have my desktops, I've barely touched them since I got it.

I'm going to take my rig with me to college. No problem there. You ask me to sell my baby? That's like abortion!

Haha.

Yeah, I'd settle for the fact that you're very unlikely going to get anything over HD 3200 / 8200M, unless you're VERY lucky on a refurb deal, or if you buy used.

New... I'd be astonished. PM me if you find something decent under $500! Hehe.

No job?

Also, I'd stay away from Acer. In my experience with them [for a friend], they sent me a computer with a dead PCI-E slot, refused to RMA it, and I eventually ended up replacing the board myself.

This was also a desktop, and through Tiger, so who knows...
