say i have a limited access...for example when i go to my gf house she has a wep code on it and i know the password but no matter what i do i cant get past a limited access. i belive it tells me i can not require an ip, and then today at school i couldnt get on and it has no pass code at all.

any details? Operating system, model of laptop, etc????? When you say limited access, where does it say that? You have to give more details.....

oh man.... yeah i had the same problem with vista... it is like it doesn't trust the network and won't let you connect. I went in there and deleted that network somehow and then recreated it and called it home and it let me connect. I don't use vista much and i don't have it loaded, so i can't really help more. But if you search on google with something like: can't connect to wireless in vista only limited access

i saw online some guy actually sent his laptop back to HP after much troubleshooting... and of course it was just vista.
i can tell you that windows 7 doesn't have that problem. What you might be able to do is like i said, delete the original connection and let it find it new and set it as "home" and it should let you connect. It is a big pain, i know
