ok so my friend has a dell inspiron laptop and got a nasty virus on the computer and it needs to have the OS reinstalled but i am having troubles entering the dell recovery thing by pressing CTRL+F11 at the same time when the dell screen pops up. That is the right combination correct?

Why are you asking here, I'd think Dell's website would be a better source for your answer.

I know my g/f's dell laptop you hit F8 after dell logo at boot..and in advanced option menu you should see something like system restore or repair pc option if I'm thinking right.
