Recommend me a laptop, $900 and down
Cheapest possible, while staying 900 and down. USD.
__________________- Battery life is paramount. I take the bus everyday and I would like to entertain myself during my 1 hour rides there and back ^_^ - 13.3 or 14.1 inch. No smaller, no bigger. I currently own a dell xps 15.4" but it's the size that's bothering me- a bit bulky to have it beside me and my books out at school. - Will not consider netbooks - Must be able to handle Photoshop cs4 smoothly, it's the main demanding program I'll be running - Not weigh much- less than 5lbs preferably but less of an issue compared to the above Pretty much sums it up. I was looking at the acer timeline line, but I specifically need a DUO CORE, a single core 1.3Ghz won't cut it. I'll be taking out the hard drive and replacing it with a SSD i have laying around, and put windows xp or 7 on it.

asus get pretty great battery life out of the box, definately the 2 hours u wanted. probably around 3 or 4 though.

Try to find a Lenovo T400 for under 900$. I got mine and it has ~ 5-6 hours battery life with dedicated GPU and ~ 8 hours with IGP. Its light and fast but does not have the looks in its side.
