Like has been said, heat is your enemy.

If you can keep the laptop cool, then overclock it. If it gets too hot... then don't.

I know there are a few members on here who have overclocked their laptop's GPU.

My Acer 4520 has had a 15% overclock on it for more than a year and has had no problems at all. I use it every day too. I am using software from nVidia.
