Default Heat output for putting a C2Q or higher in a laptop?

I've been wondering about cleaning out this old laptop I had down to just the case of it. It's almost 1 1/2" think so I'd thought it be perfect and big enough to build a decent laptop out of it. How would the heat output be with a C2Q in it with 4gb+ of memory? What about installing a flexi pci-e connector to get a decent graphics card in there. Anyone ever though of this? I'm seriously think of trying to do something like this.

Any suggestions?

I personally wouldn't be able to justify the cost of such a project considering the limited usability of such a system... you'd be paying top dollar for a mobile C2Q and beefy mobile GPU (probably ~$2000 for just those two things). And why? In order to game on the go? Consider how much power those parts would draw while gaming and you'll realize that you'd have to be tethered to a wall any time you decided to game.

IMO, just build yourself a SFF computer like mine! Improve on the idea though - Mine was made on the cheap. You could make it smaller by using a laptop HDD, slim DVD drive, good micro ATX board, flexy instead of stiff pci-e extended, a lower profile cooler etc. If you make it small enough, you can even justify strapping a keyboard, touchpad, and monitor onto it and calling it a laptop

I didn't mean the mobile forms of it. Just basically a super small SFF. I just got nothing to do so trying to figure out some kind of nice thing to build, I don't know.

Ah - well it's definitely a lot of fun to build an SFF comp, and the results are quite functional (I take mine to friend's houses and LAN parties all the time). I would suggest just going with plexiglass though, as it will be a lot easier to position parts to your liking and to optimize airflow (both are critical when you want a super small build to kill itself)
