hey guys, need help choosing what to get.
I just bought a tablet 2 weeks ago. A lenovo x200t but found that tablets just arent my thing. Basically im looking for a 12.1 to 13.3" ultra portable. Im currently looking at the lenovo x200s (SL9400, 4gb ram, 160gb 7200rpm drive, 4 cell batt, 2.4lb's, 1.2" thick). for $1300 cad with the epp deal is there anything out there that comes close to it in reliability/performace/size and weight? Any custom laptops that might fit the bill? It will mainly be used at school which is why id like it small and lightweight. Mainly for word processing, web browsing, watching videos etc etc with the occasional light gaming (discreet gpu not required). a couple big issues for me: i like high res screens (which is why i want an x200s, but heard their are some viewing angle issues), and good keyboard/trackpoint/touchpad are a must. Durability/warranty is a pretty big issue as well. I never buy extended warranty's but i like it when the company actually responds to me if i call and trys their best to help me out (lenovo ). Basically i want something compact and durable w/ good build quality. Do you guys think im heading in the right direction with the x200s?Thanks

So you bought the tablet and you don't want it now? So how does that work? Can you send it back or will you just sell it.... Anyway that lenovo looks good, but honestly you're not gonna go beyond a 1yr warranty? Laptops generally have alot more problems than desktops and even if you get the best one on the market, you can still have problems that will cost you alot of money. My 2 cents....
Custom laptops will generally cost more.... I would suggest a dell but i dont' like the new E series at all.... so i can't recommend them.

no way in hell, ill swing to a 14" at most after the 15.6" comment, im looking at a lenovo t400s for the same exact price as the x200s with the aformentioned specs, the t400s has: 14.1", 3.9 lb's (the only two negatives for it ) WXGA+ LED screen S9400 (2.4ghz 6mbl2), 3gb ram, 128gb ssd basically the t400s rapes the x200s in every way possible, except weight, and size. which are two more important things too me. are 14 inchers that big compared to a 12? any good size comparison pictures?
