Default Asus Eeepc charging issues

alright so i'm fixing this computer for a friend of mine (virus removal) and she also tells me that her Eeepc wont charge when its plugged in
Is this a common problem with the Eee series?
I've tried rebooting, different sockets, and making sure it its plugged it but it wont charge. Any help?
