Unhappy Laptop won't boot

have a presario v6000 that wont boot up. has win xp mce. tried with and w/o battery, memory and hdd. just flashes the panel lights and quits. no fans nothing..any help would be appreciated

It could be many things but I say MoBo because no beep code (RAM) and no other warnings such as HDD?

have you tried getting into the BIOS? If so, make sure your harddrive and ram are being recognized.

just had the same problem after a bad bios flash...

You might want to do what i've done in my thread: Asus Bios Bricked my Laptop!
