Any compatibility issues with this upgrade? - Overclock.net

Hey guys, I just bought this laptop. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834115681

I soon found out(should of paid better attention) that the 1066MHz RAM is only running at 800MHz because of the FSB. Since the bios is locked, I was thinking of upgrading the CPU to the P8800. I was looking at this one.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...1014&Tpk=p8800

Would this work fine, or would there be a compatibility issue?

Would work fine and lower TDP is nice 25w vs 35w. The P8800 supports Intel VT and TXT the T6600 does not. You might need BIOS upgrade if even available. I don't know just throwing out. These features I don't even use you might not either so might not matter.
