So I just ordered this particular laptop from HIDevolution.com It seemed like a reliable place to order it, and it's PayPal verified, so if anything goes wrong it's insured. Even so, it's a refurbished laptop, and it was $625 shipped, so I figured what the heck, might as well. If it works out okay, then perfect, i've got a powerful laptop to go to college with. If not, it's covered anyway. My main point in starting this thread though was to ask you guys, what do you think about this particular laptop. It gets good reviews, and seems like it would be a good laptop for gaming.
Edit: He's also got an eBay store, and 100% feedback. I checked on a few of his buyers, one of whom i've purchased something from before. I'm thinking this is totally legit. Edit #2: Well, it turned out they were out of stock, so the refunded my order. I talked to the store owner personally, and he said that Asus was just running dry on this particular model, so they refunded my purchase. Either way, if I ever need something at a good price in the future I will go to this site. They've got other good deals on there too. I ended up buying the same model from another store though for $45 more.

It is an overall very good notebook. Similar to a Gateway FX performance wise but in a 15.4" package. They do run on the hot side under high stress. If you have the skills consider opening up and applying a good thermal compound.
Value/performance hard to beat. |

Yeah, i've got the skills. I'll probably do just that, and take apart the laptop and put some AS5 on there.

The IC Diamond as the retailers call it is considered much better on this model. IC7 Diamond? I don't know.

Since it's a laptop I would not bother with as5..pick up the best you can get.
