It look like a solid laptop, but personally the brand and place you're getting it from isnt my favorite. Bestbuy seems totally overpriced imo. Try newegg or some other solid places.

What will this be mainly used for?

Looks like the egg has it for the same price with free shipping.

If it's just programming (and no gaming) then that seems like a good choice (especially with free shipping from the egg).
I think the CQ61Z with the following modifications would be better though: AMD Athlon II 2.0Ghz Dual Core (same as in the toshiba) ATI Radeon 4200 Graphics with 5-in-1 digital card reader (only 5$ more and slightly more powerful that the toshiba) 15.6" HD LED screen (I usually can look at LED screens longer before my eyes start to hurt which helps when programming) 3gb RAM The one I linked has 64-bit w7 home premium (instead of the toshiba's 32-bit) Slightly faster GPU LED screen for 500$ pretty similar specs though

just picked up an Asus G50V-A2 from a recent college grad (Computer Science major, like myself) through a transaction where we met on Ebay and then paid outside of Ebay with only Paypal. Got it for $550, a little over the price, but totally worth it. This lappy rocks!
you might be able to pick up an Asus G1s the same way i did on Ebay...Solid laptop that i used to run before i decided to upgrade. I see them going on Ebay for like $200-$400 lately...

Looks like you're pretty much stuck with 4500MHD graphics, so I say pick a brand you like or some other features you want like bluetooth, ultra low voltage (better battery life) or wireless N
__________________Something like this has long battery life, more powerful than Atom, has Win7, should run HD content, has bluetooth/wireless N, HDMI, etc Only other thing to consider would be an Ion-based netbook (better video power than a low-end laptop with integrated graphics)
