Anyone know where this mobo's battery is? I kid you not when i say that there's seriously 35 or so screws to get where i did...
that is the battery, most laptops have a battery that connects with 2 wires and not made to the board like a desktop

if pulling that out didnt fix it, then you need to start a rma, as its a bad flash

Well, i've pulled the plug out (mobo battery in the picture) and then tried plugging in AC to start w/o battery, then with. Nothing happens.

I'm trying to find the "pinhole" that is supposively there and i'm not seeing it. Any pics?

Also, i'm afraid ASUS won't let me RMA because i got this laptop as a trade and i don't have a receipt! Any options, guys?

generally you don't need a receipt for asus rma. they go by serial number.

i think all asus notebooks come with a 2 year warranty. the trick to getting an asus rma easily is by calling them and feigning ignorance. the more info you give them the more they try to make you troubleshoot and you might end up saying something that they could use to invalidate your warranty.

call them up... say your laptop wont boot and you wanna rma it. if they ask why just say you don't know (lol). they will ask for the serial and thats all you need (in my experience). you can be honest but in the 3x ive rma'd to them i found just playing dumb was the easiest.

use this website to get the numbers. in my experience they pick up quite fast.

well i called them up and i talked to a great support person who walked me through the hoops and was glad to give me a prepaid shipping option to RMA it to their facility. Now i'm just waiting on the emails to get this thing rolling. Thanks to all for their help!
