Default Lenovo s12 ion OR HP mini 311 ion

So I wanted to get a ion netbook that were just released but I'm stuck choosing between these two, the prices are basically the same but I wanted to know if any of you guys have had a chance to check out any of these netbooks or anything.

Thanks

I think the HP is a bit cheaper.

I would wait for the soon to be released dual core atom + ion Asus netbook or Ion 2 which should drop this year.

I would wait for Ion 2 before you bought. It is said to be released this year. However, it could have been delayed and I haven't seen the article yet. It is supposed to be 40nm and double the power IIRC.

From what I am reading, the 330 is 16% faster yet twice as expensive (on a netbook to netbook basis.) So you really have to decide two things, what are you buying this for, and is 16% and $300 dollars going to aid you in doing that in which you are buying it for? I have the mini 311 and for browsing, streaming video and such it works just fine. hook it up to my 40in lcd, no issues, still looks and runs great. Wish it had wireless n, but that is my only gripe. It is a little sluggish (compared to a non netbook/desktop, but that is typical) at times, but i don't really know if 16% more performance, for me at least, is worth that much for opening a program a couple of fractional seconds earlier and maybe squeeze a couple of frames here and there out of some games it is actually capable of playing.

I think you are confused.

The 330 CHIP may cost twice as much as the single core CHIP but it doesn't cost $300 more.

The dual core Atom 330 + Ion graphics are going for $630 in other countries. That is only $100 more than a single core with Ion....

This one is the same price as a single core with Ion

This one is allegedly $500 and has both Ion and dual core atom
