Well im sitting here at the trainstation waiting for the 28 minute delay train..
And... its -5 degree right now... my finger is freezing so much that it could snap anytime! Well anyway... What is the safe lowest temp can a computer be used? Harddisk, CPU, Battery and all that...

It can be used in way colder temps than you can sustain.
Only thing is that the Battery will show a lower % charge, and the hard drive might be a tad slower on the seek times.

The weakest link is probably your hard drive as they have a operational temperature of around 0C.
It can used at lower temps but this is what manufacturers specify due to warranty issues. Since the drive is in use, inside the casing, and warmed by other components, it should be fine in your current situation.

The LCD will be sluggish, but it won't really get damaged. In my experience, my refresh rate has basically just plummeted. You get a lot of ghosting.
