AFAIK netbooks do not have peripherals such as optical drives, and are smaller than a standard laptop. The processors are also usually slower than a laptop because they are meant for lighter duties.

A netbook is usually cheaper, smaller, has no optical drive, and usually runs on low power and low performance hardware. Generally it is no good for anything other than general word processing and browsing the internet, you know, general use.
A laptop can be pretty much anything up to a full power gaming laptop.

Netbooks are smaller. They usually have small screens (maybe 11" or less) as well as smaller keyboards. Most use a single core processor that is designed to use less power. Their main purpose is to surf the net, outside of that they can't do much.

Would disagree with you there. The most popular netbooks (Acer EEE and Acer Aspire One) both use dual core processors.

Don't sweat it, they're useless anyways :P
Seriously though, if you're going to spend a couple hundred bucks on a netbook you might as well spend another hundred for a low end laptop.

Netbooks almost never have decent graphics chips, if you want to play fps games, by a full laptop.

I seriously doubt anyone would even let the thought of playing an FPS on a Netbook cross their mind.
