Default Sony Vaio + Windows 7 = Smaller screen

when my sister installed windows 7 the screen is spanning through out the entire thing. its just one small square in the center that she was to work with the edges are all black. It got bigger after we changed the resolution for windows 7 but didn't span the screen entirely still. theres no VGA driver in windows update or on sony.com. What should we do?

The VGA drivers are ATI, NVIDIA, or Intel... check their sites.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular

Okay nvm im doing the whole nvidia scan thing where it scans your nvidia parts nad selects the driver you need. Should i do a fresh install with driver sweeper or just install it?

Just remove the current driver and then install the new one...or you could install over the current one

Drive sweeper should only be used when you are switching from Nvidia to ATI or vice versa

Well, If you really do have many customers who trust you, and you feel like you're up to it; I recommend this site:

http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/

They edit the drivers to make them work for the mobile chipsets. All you have to do is find your .inf and the correct version of the drivers and install. I've been doing this with my 6 year old Dell laptop with a geforce 4 4200 go.
